It's official: I'm boring.

What a week.

I'm still in shock over what happened to the fiance of one of our partners. I don't want to go into a lot of the details I've learned (the story has been in the local and national media since the victim was world-renowned in her field and I could be easily found via Google), but it's just an awful situation. Thankfully, they have the guy in custody. He was stupid enough to return to the scene the following night. He had taken her security/pass card to get in her building and brought two of his (completely innocent and unsuspecting) friends with him. He told them he had bought her condo and wanted to show his new place to them. The security guard on duty stopped him from entering the building, followed him outside, wrote down his license plate number and called it into the police. He was arrested shortly thereafter. Of course, he has a long record of arrests but has gotten off time and time again for various technicalities, etc. He had apparently never murdered anyone before, but had robbed a lot of people. He's suspected in a series of muggings in Atlanta as well. The whole thing is just so senseless and sad.

But now I will try to move on and talk about other things on here. If only I had anything else to write about. This is about all that's going on with me lately:

1. I've had a little bit of family drama but it's really stupid stuff.

2. I had a dream last night that I was having an affair with President Obama. (Note to self: stop falling asleep on the sofa while watching the news. Apparently it's seeping into your brain.)

3. I've sold three more paintings.

4. Hot Brazilian and I are trying really, really, really hard to work it out for me to go to Brazil next month to see him. Our schedules are so crazy.

5. I'm extremely busy at work right now. I'm not sure what's going on. Unfortunately, it's consisting of working on agreements with sentences that are so long and convoluted (you know, legal language and all that stuff) that I am constantly about three seconds away from leaning forward and banging my head on my desk. Don't get me wrong, I'm so grateful to have a job with the economy and all that, but geez, the stuff I work on could not be more boring.

Sadly, that is pretty much it with me. And my weekend doesn't consist of any plans that will make it any more exciting. I'm going to the studio to paint on Saturday afternoon. That's about it. At least I'll have to take a shower, get dressed and leave my house though.

Obviously, I'm very excited about the possibility of seeing Hot Brazilian next month and going to Brazil, but we've been trying to schedule this trip for the past 4 months and it hasn't worked out so I'm trying not to get overly excited in case disappointment rears its ugly head again. Also, I have to go get a bunch of shots before I can go (don't want to catch Yellow Fever after all!) and I'm not looking forward to that much at all. The Yellow Fever vaccine is going to cost me $160! The travel clinic tells me I'm supposed to get four other ones but Hot Brazilian says they're full of crap and I don't need them. I'm not sure what's going to happen when I show up for my appointment in a couple of weeks.

Hopefully all of you have more exciting things going on.

I'm so glad they caught the murderer. The guy who attacked me had a long criminal record, too. If someone starts out with assaults, it will often escalate. I hope you guys get to see each other soon!

Yellow fever? Yeah, you probably want to avoid that! But a trip to Brazil sounds so awesome, especially considering who you would get to visit. I hope you get to go!

I have a wee bit of a crush on Obama, but I could never have an affair with him. Think of Michelle!! :-)

I have a crush on both Obama AND Michelle. I mostly just want to drink beer with them and dish, though. ;)

I hope you get to go to Brazil, AND I hope that you bring HB back with you when you return!
